Mac Email Software Setup for Mail for OS X

1. Start Mac Mail

2. If this is your first time using Mail, enter the following information below. If you already are using Mail you can select Preferences from the Mail pull down menu, click on the Accounts tab and click the + button to add a new account:

Full Name: - The name you would like displayed on outgoing email
Email Address: - Your email address
Incoming Mail Server: - Enter your incoming mail server (repace mail.yourdomain.com with your actual domain name)
Account Type: - Select POP
User Name: - Your username is your full email address (you@yourdomain.com)
Password: - Enter the password that corresponds to the email address your are configuring
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): - Enter your outgoing mail server (repace mail.yourdomain.com with your actual domain name)

3. Next, decide whether you wish to Import Mailboxes from other email software. If you are unsure about which button to select, choose No to continue.

4. Click on Mail from the Apple menu bar and select Preferences

5. On the Account Information screen select the Server Settings button

6. Select Password from the Authentication field, enter your email address in the User Name field and your email password in the Password field

7. Click OK

8. You are finished.
